You may call collect if the person or business you are
calling agrees to pay the charges, by dialing:

Ignore the tone, if any, and wait for the operator. State
that you are placing a collect call, give your name, and
if the call is to be person-to-person. The operator will
leave the line when the person you have called agrees
to accept the charges.
You can talk with several people in different places at
the same time by dialing the operator and stating that
you wish to place a conference call. Give the operator
the names of the people you want to talk with and their
telephone numbers. You may want to arrange a calling
time in advance.
By dialing your own long distance calls, you will pay
the lowest rate.
To place a direct-dialed call, dial:

To place a direct-dialed call to the Bahamas,
Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands, dial:

To place a direct-dialed call to countries other than those listed above, dial:

To place an operator-assisted call to the Bahamas,
Bermuda, Canada, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands,

appropriate codes on page 22. For information on calls to
countries not listed on the table, please call the operator.
Please allow at least 45 seconds for the ring to start
after dialing an international call. When traveling abroad,
dialing instructions may vary.
You may call person-to-person when you wish to reach
a particular person or extension number, by dialing:
0 + Area Code + Telephone Number
Ignore the tone, if any, and wait for the operator. State
that you are placing a person-to-person call, give the
name of the person with whom you wish to speak, and
how you want to be billed. The operator will leave the
line when the person you are calling has answered the
telephone.
For your protection, third number calls are restricted.
Please call your long distance company to obtain a
calling card.

when requesting toll free numbers.

If you dial as described below, your calls will be
carried by the long distance company you have
preselected. To confirm your long distance company:
Outside the 308 service area, dial:

Within the 308 service area, dial:

If you want another company to carry your call, dial:
101 + XXXX
Before placing the call, where XXXX is the long
distance company's identification code. Contact your
long distance company to obtain its identification
code and any company specific dialing instructions.
If your long distance company has a 3 digit
identification code, add a zero before the code to
make it 4 digits.
You may request time and charges when placing an
operator-assisted or person-to-person call, by dialing:
0 + Area Code + Telephone Number
Ignore the tone, if any, and wait for the operator. Tell
the operator you want "time and charges" and how you
want the call billed.
Long distance calls can be placed without charge* when
calling those individuals and businesses who have toll
free numbers. To call toll free numbers, dial:
1 + 800 + Telephone Number
1 + 888 + Telephone Number
1 + 877 + Telephone Number
1 + 866 + Telephone Number
1 + 855 + Telephone Number
To call toll free numbers from a coin telephone, refer to
the dialing instructions card or dial "0".
